New Humanitarian Negotiations Information Portal
Conflict Dynamics is pleased to share with you an updated version of the Humanitarian Negotiations Information Portal (HNIP). This portal is a practitioner-driven resource that is intended to serve as a global repository of information and resources on humanitarian negotiations, aiming to promote knowledge sharing and learning amongst the humanitarian community on this subject.
HNIP features a searchable resource database, which includes a wide collection of articles, case studies, reports, and other resources that provide examples of humanitarian negotiations in practice, as well as analyses of trends impacting this kind of engagement. The database also features the first of its kind compilation of relevant excerpts from normative provisions and policy statements that pertain to the mandate for conducting humanitarian negotiations. The portal is equipped with a bibliography function that allows users to compile and print citations for selected resources from the resource database, as well as a page that highlights upcoming events related to humanitarian negotiation around the world.
The portal is designed to be populated and sustained through your engagement. If you have suggestions for resources or events that should be added to the database, please upload them using the 'submit' function from the resource database. Also, as the portal is currently in a beta testing phase, we welcome your suggestions for how we can improve the content or functionality of the portal. You can contact us at [email protected].
We hope that you find the portal useful and look forward to your feedback. We also encourage you to share the Humanitarian Negotiations Information Portal with your colleagues and networks.
